The Laboratory: Projects in Energy & Light"
"Beyond the mat and the session, the experiment continues. These projects are the tangible expressions of my work—collaborations, community offerings, and creative seeds planted to help the Parent Yogi village flourish. This is where poetry meets action."
The Warmth of the Village
"Bridging the Pulse:
Community Yoga & Mental Health."
"I believe that healing should never be a luxury; it is a human right. In partnership with local mental health groups in Harrow, I facilitate yoga sessions designed for those navigating the heavy energies of anxiety, depression, and isolation. These sessions take place in community Warm Hubs—safe havens where the modern pulse slows down, and we can reconnect with our collective light.
One of our most cherished experiments was when my son joined me to volunteer, playing his flute as a live 'sound bath' for the group. It was a powerful reminder that when we lead with the light in our hearts, even the youngest among us can help harmonize the rhythm of the village."
"In the warmth of the village, no one has to carry their ledger alone."
The Grounding Ritual
"Rooting the Nervous System in the Earth."
"When my son was young, we discovered that the most effective audit for a dysregulated nervous system wasn't found indoors, but in the soil. We began experimenting with tree planting, and the transformation was immediate—the heavy rhythm of the modern pulse was replaced by the grounding weight of a spade and the quiet patience of a sapling.
What began as a personal healing experiment grew into a commitment to our local village. Our projects have evolved from participating in Trees for Cities planting days to the ongoing stewardship of our local green spaces:
The Ahimsa Forest: Helping to plant and nurture this forest in our local Harrow park—a living testament to non-violence and peace.
The Peace Garden: Regular weeding, planting, and upkeep to ensure this sanctuary remains a space for collective exhale.
Volunteering & Stewardship: Actively tending to the greenery that breathes for us, ensuring the next generation has a resilient earth to walk upon."
The Energy Experiment:
"Next time your child feels 'up in the air,' put their hands in the earth.
The soil has a way of absorbing the excess charge that the mind can't hold."
The Collective Cleanse
"Award-Winning Stewardship for our Local Streets."
"In Pranic Healing, we cannot energize until we first cleanse. This principle extends beyond the body and into the very streets we walk. My son and I have volunteered with our local Harrow litter-picking group, treating the removal of 'modern debris' as a meditative act of stewardship and a service to the Earth.
Every piece of litter removed is a bit of stagnation cleared from the community’s energy field. It is a simple, grounding experiment in Ahimsa (non-violence)—restoring the visual and energetic flow of our parks so that every neighbour can walk in a clearer, lighter space.
Our collective efforts were recently recognized with the Team Harrow Heroes Award, a celebration of the quiet, consistent work that goes into keeping our village vibrant. It is proof that when we tend to the land, the community's heart follows."
"Environmental clutter acts as a 'drain' on a neighbourhood's collective mood. By removing physical waste, we literally brighten the vibration of our shared pathways."
Meditate with Monkey & Me
"From a Lockdown Diary to the Classroom Floor."
"During the stillness of the 2020 lockdown, I embarked on one of my most personal experiments. Faced with the heightened 'modern pulse' of a global crisis and the unexplained struggles of my son—long before we had the clarity of a neurodivergent diagnosis—I created 'Meditate with Monkey and Me.'
For over 100 consecutive days, we went live in a closed Facebook group to practice short, potent nervous system regulating techniques. This group served as a virtual diary of our survival. I could sense the atmospheric shift in my son’s energy with every session.
The Ripple Effect: The experiment didn't end when the lockdown lifted. Having found his own rhythm, Tanav took these tools into his school, leading meditation sessions at a lunchtime club. Seeing a young person share the gift of 'the pause' with his peers is the ultimate proof that when we heal the home, we help share that healing effect with a wider community.
The Energy Experiment: "Consistency is the currency of the nervous system. 100 days of rhythmic regulation created a 'compounding interest' of peace that carried us through the hardest seasons."
"Sometimes the best diary isn't written in ink, but in the steady rhythm of a shared breath."
The Ascent of Light (Jack Petchey Award)
"Service, Stewardship, and the Jack Petchey Award."
"A core pillar of our work is empowering the next generation to recognize their own internal light. My son, Tanav, has embodied this journey through his work with the Arts for Life Project, a charity dedicated to supporting neurodivergent young people.
After attending sessions as a participant, Tanav stepped into the role of a steward—offering kindness and support to his peers. His commitment culminated in a physical and energetic feat: climbing Mount Snowdon to raise vital funds for the charity. For his outstanding contribution and his heart-led leadership, Tanav was honored with the Jack Petchey Award. This project is a living example of how regulating the nervous system leads to a capacity for great service."
"The highest peak we can climb is the one where we reach back to pull another soul upward."

Blue Peter
The Green Badge Legacy
"From the Living Room to Blue Peter: A Commitment to the Earth."
"Our family’s dedication to the environment eventually caught the eye of a British institution. Tanav was featured on Blue Peter after earning his Green Badge—a recognition of his deep love for the planet and his creative approach to recycling.
The film crew joined us at our home to capture Tanav in his element: transforming 'waste' into intricate arts and craft models. It was a joyful celebration of his ability to see the potential in what others discard. This badge isn't just a piece of plastic; it’s a symbol of a young 'Pranic Experimentor' who understands that how we treat our materials is a direct reflection of how we treat our world."
The Voice of Experience
"Shaping the Future of Care in North West London."
"Healing is not just a personal journey; it is a systemic one. I am honored to serve as a Lived Experience Partner for the CNWL NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, I attend strategic forums and contribute to the improvement of services across North West London, specifically focusing on neurodiversity needs and mental health.
By bringing the lived realities of my own family’s path—navigating the complexities of diagnosis, care, and daily rhythm—into these professional spaces, I help ensure that future services are built with empathy, insight, and a deep understanding of the neurodivergent pulse. It is my way of ensuring that the 'modern pulse' of our healthcare system beats in harmony with the families it serves."
"When we share our story with the system, we turn a private struggle into a public light."
